100 Years of Band: Student Shirt Design Contest

In anticipation of the 21st Annual Downriver Fanfare, and in celebration of “100 Years of Band,” the Music Boosters are excited to announce a special opportunity for one lucky student to design a shirt that will be available exclusively at this year’s Fanfare!

The shirt will also help raise funds to support the Wyandotte Music Program.

How It Works

Students are invited to submit an original, music-related design for their peers to vote on.

All submissions will be presented anonymously on the Music Booster website.

The top three designs receiving the most votes will be presented to Brian Wieczorek, who will select the winning design.

The winning student’s artwork will be printed on the front of the shirt, along with the student’s name.

The shirt will be available for purchase only during this year’s Fanfare.As an added thank-you, the winning student will receive the first printed shirt featuring their design!

Design Requirements

• All submissions must be digital. Unfortunately, we cannot accept physical artwork.
• Designs may not be generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
• Designs can be anything music-related. They do not need to be specific to Wyandotte or the Music Program.
• Please submit only original artwork created by the student.

Important Dates

Contest Opens: August 24

Submission Deadline: September 6 at 11:59 p.m.

Public Voting: September 7–13

Winner Announced: Before Fanfare

Students will be able to view and vote on the submitted designs beginning September 7. A link to the Music Booster website and voting page will be made public when voting opens.

The winning design will be announced on the Music Booster website before Fanfare.

The winning student’s parent will be asked to sign an artwork release form allowing the use of the image for the 2026 Fanfare.
